The ‘Angels got © three in the fifth and two in the sixth to complete the con- vincing win. Castlegar scored once in the first on Hal Hesketh's triple, then added three in the third on two hits, and one in the fifth. Terry Minnis started for East Kootenay and gave way in the fifth to Joe Powell. Cubs’ Tim Paul was relieved by James Warner who completed the game’ with a brief ap- pearance by Mike Glendinning. Doug Huth homered in the second for Castlegar in the next game and the Cubs piled up five in the third for the win. Angels rallied with four in the fifth on three hits, including Bob Gard- ner's triple. Rob Sherstobitoff went all the way for the victory over Murray Flegel who also went _ the distance, Castlegar ended the game neatly with a well- placed double play. The Cubs will be hosting a doubleheader against Republic this Sunday afternoon at Kin- naird Park. Parade Opened Track Meet.
