~ Our 75th

Some time ago it was decided that the observance
of Cominco’s 75th birthday at Trail and at Kimberley
would not be a long and drawn-out affair .. . and
that the emphasis would be on variety and the par-
ticipation. of lots of people of all ages. Certainly also,
there would be no long and solemn speech-making.

What we have arranged for Kimberley on. September
11th and 12th, and Trail on the 19th and 20th is
intended to be entertaining, fun, and perhaps to
some degree, informative as well. We have had lots
and lots of co-operation and participation among
employees and organizations in the communities.
We appreciate this enthusiasm very much.

If there is any kind of a theme to this it would be
“people” — because that is what Cominco is.

Thousands of good people now and through the.

years gone by.

We hope the occasions at Trail and Kimberley will
be truly enjoyable for everyone.
