C., has arrived and will com- mence as general foreman and maintenance man in the village. -Prior to his acceptance here, Mr. Barnes had been works fore- man for Henry’s’ Construction Company of Vernon. At one time he also had been general foreman for the Vernon Building and Construction for a period of three years. Mr. Barnes is a very active community worker and had been a major factor for forming the Lavington Tennis Club. A surprise birthday party was given for David Adshead by his mother on Thursday, March 27. A white table cloth covered the table and a lovely decorated cake with nine blue candles centered the table. Seven little guests at- tended and many games’ were played and enjoyed by all. Mrs. J. Scott accompanied Mrs. D.
