The Rebels defeated North Okanagan two weekends ago to start the streak and then kept it up. with a convincing 5-3 come- from-behind victory over Grand Forks last Friday and a 6-3 destruction of the Revelstoke Grizzlies Saturday night. The wins came on the heels of a pro- longed losing skid that had many questioning the team and they stepped on to the Bruins home ice last Friday. The Rebels used some of their new blood to open up a 1-0 lead on the Bruins 14 minutes into the game after Dion Resicini took a pass from newly acquired defense- man Aaron Halifax and slipped it into the Grand Forks goal. The Bruins came back to tie in the final minute of the opening period and then seemed to take a commanding lead in the second as David Stewart and Trevor Aubie scored just 13 seconds apart. They held the 3-1 margin into the second intermission when Rebels coach Pat Price decided to have a chat with his team. the year, They decided to come out and play with discipline in the third period and they were rewarded for it.” The main reward reaper was Resicini who continued his strong play with two power play goals in 16 seconds at the three minute mark of the third period. The goals capped a natural hat trick for Resicini as well as brought the Rebels even. Bill Phillips put the Rebels ahead at the 9:39 mark and Brad Boyden put the game out of reach less than five minutes later.
