Beginning at 10 a.m., the full day of spirited softball competi- tion, saw the high school lads rout Rossland boys 14 to 1, and then vanquish Trail High School males 4-1. Rocky Plotnikoff Pitched four innings of the first game and went, the distance for the second game. In his four in- mings with Rossland he struck out nine batters and in the game with Trail, he wiffed ninteen batters. In addition, Rocky banged out five hits, one of them a three run round-tripper in the second game. Meanwhile the local girls were snowed under 11-2 by Trail High ladies in their first game.
