Funeral notice

Anne May McFarlane

Anne May McFarlane of
Castlegar passed away on Friday
Dec. 9, 1994 at the age of 70 years.

Memorial service was held at
the Castlegar Funeral Chapel on
Tuesday, Dec. 13. Pastor Leonard
Andrews officiated. Burial of the
ashes was in the family plot at

then moved to Robson and in
1970 to Castlegar.

She is survived by her three
sons, Calvin and Lawrence of

Elkford; six grandchildren; two

Kamloops; three sisters, Isabelle
Ferri of Brandon, Man., Mary

Dear Ann Landers:
My wife and I bought
our dream home two
years ago and invested a
small fortune in plants
and perennial flowers to
enhance the property.
We have spent countless
hours digging and haul-
ing dirt, mulch, compost
and rocks to.enhance our
property. Everyone says
the gardens are truly
beautiful.

To our chagrin, plant
thieves have visited us
on four occasions and
helped themselves to
some of the most exotic
and expensive plants.
We have two large
watchdogs who appar-
ently know the thieves
and do not bark at them.

We catt afford to keep
replacing the plants, nor
is it feasible for us to sit
up all night guarding the
place. We don't know
what to do and would
appreciate any sugges-
tions you might have. —
