major factor in dust allergies
and asthma is the dust mite,
a tiny organism that lives in
mattresses, pillows and in
dust balls under beds.

“Mites are a fact of life,
they're like bacteria,” said
Dawes, adding the organisms
feed off dead skin cells that
accumulate in mattresses and
pillows and under beds, even
in the cleanest homes.
