The next meeting, May 19th, will be held at the home of Mrs. Taylor. - LILLIAN KILLOUGH CHAPTER I..0.D.oEe The ye monthly meeting of the Lillian Llough Chapter I.0.D-E. was held on Tuesday evening, with nineteen members present and the Regent, Mrs. A.T. Horswill, presiding. The greater part of the meeting was taken up with discussion of final arrangements for the May 24th celebration with commit- tees in charge of the various events. The parade of decorated floats, bi- eycles, tricycles, wagons and doll carriages will start from the school grounds at 1 P.M. First and second prize ribbons-will be given to-the---- best floats, while cash prizes will be awarded to the other entries. Follow- ing the parade to the ball park, the crowning of the May Queen will take place on a platform to be erected there by the Kiwanis Club. A motion was passed to give the Kiwanis the sum of $25 to assist in this work. The May Pole dance and other dances will fol- low the crowning of the May Queen. A sports committee has charge of the races and other events for the after- noone There will be a refreshment booth in the grounds and a "hot dog" stand, the latter being in charge of the local Boy Scout groupe There is also an essay contest for High School students. The annual May Day dance will be held as usual in the Community Hall. It is hoped that all Castlegar citizens will help to make this day an outstanding success by their generous ‘support of the various events.
