There was only one SNiway' that Pete could get the shot ‘rock out and he did it, Seven more af his rocks were spread out around the house and it finished up as an eight-ender. With him, Pete had Bill Waldie at third, Ed Schulte second and Claude Bissell filling in at lead. The unlucky’ ones besides Gene were Nick Andre- ashuk third, George Wilson second and George St. Marie lead. It is to be hoped that some token of appreciation can be made to Pete and his boys to remind them of what has tobea highlight of their curling ca- reer. ‘The two rinks taking part in the zone playdowns went down to defeat in fairly short order, the Dalziel rink losing two straight and the Verauh rink losing two out of three. They had a good time, though, but sure appreciate the beauti- fal fee we enjoy here, in Castlegar.
