Chenoweth, contractor of hte work on the Giant, was in town and re- ports that the ilrift from the crosacut is now in 115 feet and that the ore body is expected to be reached in about 85 feet. The drift is commenced 70 feet from the faceof the crosscut. The drift ig being run north from the No. 1 shaft, The No. 2 shatt ia now down 110 feet.
