The old hotel building has been re- modeled snd made into a theater of ex- cellent proportions. The stage is 25x30 feet square and gives ample room for all sorts of performances. Walker. on THE NOXTHPORT SMELTER. The Old Le Rol Company's Ore Will all be Cleaned up by the 15th. James Breen, supérintendant of the — Northport smelter came up Saturday evening and returned home today. He was seen at the Allan yesterday and said that they were still engaged treat- ing the ore of the old Le Roi company. and expected to clean it up by the 16th of this month and then commence on the ore of the new company. At present a regular daily shipment of. 200 tons is being sent to the smelter from the Le Roi mine and being stored in the ore bins there. i Mr. Breen says the smelter is in per- iect working condition and treating the Le Rol ore.as cheaply as it ia possible to’ treat 1t under present conditions. The main shaft is now down 125 feet and a crosscut being run from the bottom of the ledge to cut the ledge. Two New Locomotives. Two new locomotives for the C. P. R. narrow gauge between here and Trail have arrived, and are being tested by the company. With these new engines the road will bein excellent shape for the handling ofall theore from the camp that may be sent to Trail. Columbia Club Meeting.
