GENERAL INFORMATION All enquiries relating to admission to the College should be addressed to the Dean. The academic year begins on the first of September and ends on the last day of August. It is divided into a Fall Term (September to Christmas) and a Spring Term (January to May). In addition, a Summer Session consisting of seven weeks of instruction will be offered in July and August. The Calendar for Summer Session is published separately. Courses in the College will be offered under two major divisions — Liberal Arts and Science (University Transfer Programme) and Applied Arts and Science (Tech- nology Programme). Students intending to transfer to a University at the end of their first or second year will select courses offered within the Liberal Arts and Science Division. Students wishing to complete a two year diploma programme in one of the technologies will select courses offered within the Applied Arts and Science Division. In addition, a College Preparatory Programme of studies will be available to mature students who do not possess complete college entrance standing or who require additional preparation in certain subjects. A full programme in Continuing Education, which will include both credit and non-credit courses is under development. Application for admission should be made as early as possible before August 12, 1966 to the Dean, Selkirk College, 1385 Cedar Avenue, Trail, B.C. Students regi- stering for the first time must forward a transcript of the marks they obtained in achieving High School graduation, together with all pertinent certificates. Students are warned not to assume that regulations remain unchanged from year to year. 16
