Christmas comes but once a year, as the old saying goes, and that's about all most ofus could stan Don't misunderstand us, We're in favor of it, But now that the turkey is just an old’ plate of bones and the relatives have gone or are going home and the children's new toys are ginning to lose their novelty as new toys will, it's a relief that the melee of Christmas shopping, the rounds of social shligations, the pressure and excitement of celebrations etc. are over for another year. New Year's is still to come true but somehow it doesn’t leave us as exhausted as doeg Christmas. 1y Yet, we wouldn't. have it any other way, Our Canadian Christmas as we Canadians enjoy it year after years, is always something to look forward to and something to look back pon. ‘Phere, is an aspéct of our celebrations of Christ's birth- diy, however, which we should strive to continue throughout the year. Could we but spread this Christmas spirit of goodwill, friendship and broadmindedness ¢ remainder of the year as well, our community, our province, our country ang. ‘oiir continent would soon become part of a better, more], ni less alarming world.
