Brisco said in a prepared release that additional fund- ing has been secured under the Economic Regional De- veloprient Agreement, For- estry Sub-Agreement. The_ five-year federal- provincial agreement signed last summer originally al- located $800,000 _ first-year funding for the entire Nelson Forest Region. However, Brisco said, “The resulting concern of the for- est community in Kootenay West proved to me that the amount was totally inade- quate.
