Boys singles player Jeff Ev- dokimoff led SHSS with five straight match wins. “That kind of play is really impressive at this level,” De- Paoli said. The boys doubles team of Mitch Stoochnoff and Graeme Basson went 6-3, as did the girls doubles tandem of Jaclyn Kalesnikoff and Chris Evdoki- moff. Okanagan Mission of Kelowna beat Lambrick Park of Victoria Sunday to win the five-team event. Victoria knocked SHSS out of the championship after com- ing from behind in a pair of matches Sunday. “The pressure seemed to get to us at that point,” DePaoli said. “I don’t think they were used to that. “I don't know if we could have beaten Okanagan Mis- sion, but I think we were bet- ter than Lambrick,” he said. DePaoli said the SHSS girls doubles team of Ryanna West- hoff and Laurel Closkey played a big part in moving the team into a good position. “Theyre a B team and they beat some A teams, which helped us a lot,” he said. Westhoff and Closkey fin- shed with a record of 4-5. The boys doubles team of Ryan Vatkin and Marcel Dusseault had a 5-4 mark. Overall, SHSS’s record in the three-day tourney was 31- 24 Kurt Roberts and Wayne Stoltz went undefeated in two matches, while their counter- parts. on the team, Andraya Hughes and Angela Stooch- noff, went the other way to end up at 0-2.
