This course will offer the partici- pants five weeks of instruction from each instructor. o 8 ¢@ We are once again offering ics course, and this year counter. On Saturday the league AllStar game is scheduled for Rossland, With the best players from both divisions taking part in this game, there should be many moments of excellant _ hockey action, . * 8 At the start of the fall schedule for public skating, a .Sunday evening of adult skat- ing was scheduled. Due to the poor response at that time, the session was opened to teens. Since thal time, we have had many requests for the solely adult session, Starting right, awzy we will once again be holding adult skate sessions from 8 to 9:15 on Sunday eve- nings. These sessions will be open to anyone 18 years of age and over. As well, if parents who are skaling, bring their children, the children will be admitted. So hopefully, we will see you at the arena on Sunday evenings, . 8 8 Well, we are now in the midst of registering for our January courses, and these registrations will continue to the start of all courses. How- ever, we do have a limit on the size of all our programs, there- fore we do hope that you' will register early in the course ‘of your choice and avoid being disappointed, es 8 68 This past year we have held children’s art classes in Robson and due to their. popularity, we are now ex- panding the class to include a course al the Kinnaird Elemen- tary School. Daisey Havdale, who will continue jinslructing in the Robson School, will also handle the Kinnaird class. Daisey will also be com- bining her talents with Julie SHSS Sports a are fortunate to, have Jerry Enewold as instructor, Jerry brings to us much experience which he gained through in- structing at schools and col- leges in the United States. o 8 6 One of the new and rather unique activilies that we will be affering this time in our Janu- ary course schedule is a Music Appreciation class. This class will be held in Blueberry and will be open lo any children between tlie ages of eight and 12, Robyn Miller-Tait, who will act as instructress, informs us she ‘hopes to stress basic theory, singing, introduction to band and orchestra instru- ments and the enjoyment of music. * 8 8 Quickly changing tempo for a minute, I wish to remind you of two of our more gruelling activities. On Mondays and Thurs- days, at the Tarrys School, Derrik Rotherme] will be of- fering classes in self-defense. This class, which is a basic course in self-defense tech- niques and karate, can be taken on a monthly basis. That is; persons . will register for” a month's duration, after’ which time they may continue or drop out of the class. From past experiences, we - doubt that many people will be dropping out. Once again for the teens we will be offering a wrestling class. This class is for any boys over the age of 12 who wish to improve their physical fitness and learn all the techniques of amateur wrestling. * ‘Whatever your interest, I hope we have something for you, For further information phone 365-3386.
