Celgar in the sawmill ‘division for eight years and was a member of the IWA Local: 1-405, He is survived by his wife, _| Dorothy, ‘at home; one son, Den- nis, of Edmonton; a daughter, Mrs. A. Roberts of Sidmouth, B.C.;' his mother. Mrs, Henke, of Nakusp; three brothers, William, of Kin- naird, Walter and Paul of Nakusp; four sisters, Mrs-G. Haines of Cas- tlegar, Mrs. R. Tarr ‘of North Sur- rey, Mrs. L.’ Hasearl of Nakusp and Mrs, R, Rogers of Nakusp. He was predeceased by his father, Ernest Henke, in 1957, and a sister Mrs. C. Hamling of Nakusp in 1962. Funeral services were held Saturday from Kinnaird United Church with Rev. R. H. Pratt of- ficiating. Pallbearers were George Baird, Gordon Haines, Jim West, Bill Johnson, Gordon Henke ‘and Robert Pakula. Hymns sung were “The Day Thou Gavest Lord is Ended”. and “Unto the Hills Around I Lift My Longing Eyes.” Kinnaird United Church Choir sang. the selection “Come Unto Me.” Organist was Mrs. B, Walper, There was a large: representa- tion from Nakusp and Celgar. The church’ was filled to capacity.
