Oldtime Fiddlers was held on Oct. 27 in the Senior zens Hall in Castlegar. There were 33 members present. A report was given by the treasurer on the fall dance that was held on Sept. 29. It proved to be financially successful and it was decided another fall dance would be held at the Castlegar Complex on Oct. 5, 1991. The next event to be held by the Fiddlers is a combination garage and bake sale. This will be held Nov. 17 in the Senior Citizens Hall. Doors will open at [0 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. After the sale the members will hold a potluck supper for fiddle members. On Nov. 24 the fiddlers will play for the seniors dance, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Dec. 8 will be the Fiddler’s annual Christmas potluck supper and dance. This will be open to the Fiddlers and their invited guests. It will be held in the Castlegar Legion and will start at 6:30 p.m. It has been decided that a commit- tee will be formed, headed by Lorne Ashton, to review the local bylaws of the Kootenay No. 9 Branch of the Oldtime Fiddlers. Any member with ideas on the subject should present them to Ashton who will later present all ideas to the club and they will be voted on at a future meeting.
