He said he be- lieved that he had followed out the court's instructions, and did not know that he was violating the law. His case wag adjourned so that more particulars could be obtained as to the situation. C. F. Roberts, a barber, was charged with having locse deadly weapons upon his person. He was arrested about 4 o'clock this morning at the Minto hotel with a big 44 calibre Colt’s revolver, all loaded but one chamber, and a big dirk or deer knife with about 14 inches ofa blade on it. The evidence showed that Roberts had been drinking heavily dur- ing the night with some ‘‘Jady”’ friends, and wound up at the Mintoon Wash- ington street, where he charitably en- gaged a room for his friend, When he got ready to leave the Minto about 4 o’clock this morning, the bartender re- fueed to give up his vest, coat and shirt until he paid 75 cents for room rent. During the arguinent an officer ‘arrived and upon learning the situation, advised Roberts to pay his rent. The matter was arranged and Roberts left, but ac- cused the barkeeper’ of giving “him “doped” whisky. Later on Roberts got beck upto the: Mintoin his dranken wanderings and caused more trouble, when an officer was sent for, who ar- rested him and found the above ‘men- tioned deadly weapong upon him.
