Following the death of her * husband, Mrs. Shepherd moved to Castlegar in 1958 to be near her sister and brother-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. Powell Smibert. She was always very ac tive in the United Church and was a member of the Friend: ship Circle of the United * Church Women.
