Odyssey of the Mind is an International non-profit association for spontaneous think- ing and creative problem solving established in 1978 in the U.S. It is now world-wide with IBM being the corporate sponsor. The teams compete in a long term problem sent a story about dinosaurs. The other junior team coached by Jim Richards and Gail Maki- Richards have picked the problem to design and spontaneous problems designed to in- sea. crease fluency and flexibility of thought. Teams consisting of no more than seven mem- bers and must complete their problems with- out outside assistance. One junior division team coached by Betty Kooznetsoff, have chosen to create and pre- and build a balsa wood structure to balance and support as much weight, as possible on an eight-inch structure with unequal sized ends. The senior team at Tarrys Elementary — coached by the principal Russil Rilcoff — have chosen to do an analogy of the old man and the ‘On March 27, the teams will travel to W.E.
