Later in 1912, a single engine train arrived iri Nelson at the present site of ihe Nelson Civic Centre grounds and was named the Chahko-Mika. Now “the gathering place”, Chahko-Mika, has brought back rained! interest to an old term. !t is simply a new and modern setting for an old practice. Everyone is welcomed to come and socialize, purchae their day-to-day needs and view special activities which are of interest to us now. Then and now people still come in the spirit of chahko mika, * The Ideas Shoppe Overwaltea PeDores Fine Footwear People's Jewellers Princess Fashions — Reitmans ‘ Riley &McCormick SAAN Stores Shoppers Drug Mart - Sheffield & Sons Tobacconist The Factory Tiger T-Shirts Pp “Workwear World Woolco.
