CHEMISTRY REQUIREMENT

Students requiring first-year chemistry have a choice
of Chemistry 110 or Chemistry 122.

— CHEM 110: Fundamentals of Chemistry

— CHEM 122: General Chemistry I

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT

Students requiring first-year English have a choice
of the English 110/111 sequence or the 112/114
sequence.

The 110/111 sequence is focused on the
development of academic writing and research.

— ENGL 110 - College Composition
— ENGL 111 - Introduction to Literature

The 112/114 sequence is focused on the
interpretation of literature.

— ENGL 112 - Introduction to Poetry and Drama
— ENGL 114 - Introduction to Prose Fiction

SCIENCE ELECTIVE

Students may take any first- or second-year UAS
Science course. This course is not required to have a
lab component.

Each course must transfer for three or more
credits to at least one of: SFU, UBC (Vancouver or
Okanagan), UNBC or UVIC.

GENERAL UAS ELECTIVE

A student may take any first-year or higher university
transferable course to satisfy this elective. Each
course must transfer for three or more credits to
