DEATHS
BYSTROM — Olot Bystrom of Nelson
passed away Feb. 19 at age 85. He was
born in 1904 in Strumtund, Sweden, and
came to Nelson in 1926 where he
resided for 45 years before moving to
Vancouver for a few years. Funeral ser
vice was held Feb. 23 from St. John's
Lutheran Church in Nelson. Interment
followed at the Nelson Cemetery

GIRARD — Iris Girard of Trail died Feb
15 at the Regional Hospital
following brief illness. She was 74

time resident of Trail. She was a mem:

born March 19, 1909 at Midado, Sask. He
moved with his parents to Brilliant in,

but finally settled in Slocan Park in 1935.
He married Nora Popott there on April 3.

were held at the Passmore Hall on Feb.
