Now, Mr. Editor, I desire to make a direct charge against you and by your own utterance prove the charge. You have atwo-fold object in your attack, viz first, to vent your spleen upon the Spo- kane brokera for patron izing to Ross- land Miner, and secondly to poison the minds of your Canadian readers againat Republic and other American districts. In your issue of the 15th inst. you say: “The article in the Reconp yesterday regarding the conduct of the Spokane stock brokers attracted considerable at- tention and met with undivided sppro- val of the Rossland broders. It is thought it will'create a panic in Spokane and hoped that an expose of the meth- ods of the brokers will cause them to dis- continue having two prices vastly differ- ent for the same stock. “A Rossland broker, in discugeing the sutject, said: "The Recor> ig entitled to great credit for making the unfair methods of the Spokane brokers public. On account of the patronage our bro- kers are giving the morning paper we hada right to look for friendship in the matter frem it, but it was not given.
