lage commissioners held | their
regular meeting last week with
chairman W. Collinson a the
chair.

steps are being taken to con-

and also install three four-inch

The resignation of Fire Chief
S. C, Watson was received on
Monday. Reasons for resigning
were stated as condition of
health and due to other busi-
ness.

Village commissioners also
stressed the point of dog licences.
-Residents of Kinnaird are urged
to see that their dogs are. pro-
perly licenced as enforcement
of the dog licence bylaw will be
carried out. Tags are available
at the village office with fees of
$1 for males and $3.00 for fe-
males. -

Buliding permits issued last
week were O. Wilson, new resid-
ence; N. Kuryluk, repairs; a
Loeblich and Olson, completion
of buildings. .

P.T.A. Discusses
Loan Fund °

Executive members of the
S.H. P.T.A. met Monday night
and voted $30 to B. H. Cherring-
ton who, as delegate, will at-
tend the Provincial P.T.A. con-
vention in Kelowna this month.

J. A. Thomas outlined the ad-
vantages of a “Loan Fund” to
aid high school students who,
owing to financial difficulties,
might be unable to complete
their high . school education.

a fund is large — the same
money may be used many times

couver basketball team played all
their games, the series between

a-soccer club here in Castlegar
within the next week or ten
days. If a club is formed, thera
is a very good chance that they
will enter into the Trail league.
