The Nite Hawks, coached by Ed Wyatt, a former Castlegar Rebels coach, seemed to be on the right track in the first period as the two teams were deadlocked 2-2 after 20 minutes. But it was all downhill from there. The Rebels’ Adrian Markin opened the scoring at 7:21. Beaver Valley replied with its two goals at 17:14 and 17:31.
