munity last year we hope

an active interest in our com-
munity celebration this

At the festivals society di-
rectors meeting last week,
directors agreed to recruit
new society members, cov-
ering a cross section of resi-
dents and businesses in the
Castlegar district.

“If SunFest is going to
continue to be a successful
event then we must have the
community supporting us,”
said Moroso. For a $2 mem-
bership the citizens of Castle-
gar, Area I and Area J can
help ensure that SunFest will
be even better than last year.
With a good solid member-
ship base, some seed money
from the chamber of com-
merce and good support from
the city, Area I and Area ay
I know that SunFest 88 will
be a tremendous success.”

When asked about the
SunFest theme of Rainbows
and Roses, Moroso said, “It
will be up to the SunFest
committee to decide how a
theme will be chosen. It’s on
the agenda for the meeting
and we anticipate a lot of dis-
cussion.”
