** -yeminiacences of early days are becom-
ing more interesting. Capt. L. &, Bur-
bridge, who was in town last week, gave
ovtsome facts. which have not been
published. It was in 1892.. The cap-
tain had examined the Le Roi. He met
Col. I. N. Peyton leaving the camp. The
colonel had discharged the six men who
were working on. the Le Roi, and eaid
he was going to abandon the mine. It
was then that Captain Burbridge eaid:
“Colonel, the property is all right.”
