. .,., llsry Great weather was never more appreciated than it was last weekend. Rosslanders and their many visitors basked in the sunshine and enjoyed every minute of our annual celebration. IT would be pretty hard to pick out a highlight of our Golden City Days. The parade was outstanding, with floats and novelties galore, but so were the exhibits that filled the arena, art, garden and kitchen products and the many entered by the local businesses. Everywhere one went there were crowds. There were. people on the streets, more of them crowded the various bars, saloons, lounges and Bavarian gardens, meeting old friends and generally living it up. On the sports side of the show were the bike races, ·a rapidly growing sport in Rossland, thanks mainlf to the efforts of Dave Butler and his I associates. The Golden City grind, a gruelling race attracted 66 runners. There was rugby for the first time this year, a new game to a lot of Rossland people but it did draw some support as did the sl
