Do you ever drive to Van-
couver or other coastal loca-
tions? Perhaps you visit the
south Okanagan area once in
awhile. If you do, you likely
drive through Bridesville.

So what is the attraction in
Bridesville? The recycling de-
pot, of course!

The depot is the only one in
the area that accepts wax milk
and juice cartons. They must
be clean, slit open and flat-
tened. The depot takes them
either tied up in bundles or
stacked inside cardboard box-
es.

Other items accepted at the
depot include: green, brown
and clear glass; aluminum
(such as old lawn chairs with
the webbing and plastic re-
moved); automotive batteries;
pop and beer bottles and cans;
brass; copper; lead; corrugated
cardboard; computer paper;
newspaper and clean tin cans,

The purpose of Bylaw 596, Paving Loan
Authorization Bylaw, is to authorize the borrowing
of a sum not exceeding $1,286,000 from Municipal
Finance Authority to finance the first 2 years ofa
5-year pavement rehabilitation program in the City
of Castlegar. The debt so incurred Is to be pald off
over a period of 20 years.
