ment of others,

To the Editor of the News-Advertiser:
Srr:—I am sure that your correspond-
ent, ‘“B. O. Miner,” has failed to inform
himselt regarding the laws of the State
of Washington relativeto mining claims.
The fact is that an alien has all rights
and privileges regarding ’tho- location,
holding and disposing of mining elaims
that residents of the state have. Aliens
may not acquire real estate unless they
have declared their intention of becom-
ing citizens, but mining claims and suf ~
ficient land and: buildings forthe pur-
pose of working them, are specifically
exempted. “With regard to such
a Canadian has justas much right as
any citizen of our northwest atate.
