Shaw received Canadian Radio- television and Telecommunications Commission approval to buy 729,683 common shares, representating 94.4 per cent of the outstanding common shares The sale involves the transfer of all common voting shares of Central In- terior to Shaw, a public company con- trolled 59.5 per cent by the Shaw family of Edmonton and Woodbridge, Ont Shaw has promised the CRTC it will spend $1.73 million in capital im- provements in community program ming and in technical and customer services.
