Flails Youths Who Feel Demscracy Is Not Worthwhile. Archdeacon B, A, Resker, former Castlegar Anglican-priest who has retired to Balfour, told, the Trail-Rossland Boy Scout As- sociation last week that he had noted a recent edition of a Can- adian magazine stated the youth of Canada felt that democracy was not-workirig and that basic freedoms did not appeal to them. “We,” said Mr. Resker, “are one of the greatest workshops in democracy, We train boys to be leaders and they learn the prin: ciples of democracy. “I was shocked to hear that youth wanted more discipline and authority. We believe there is such a thing as obedience, Scouting is one of the few bodies of international repute.
