Dated Fashions Enjoyed

Fashions through time,
ranging from an 1855 party
dress and feather bonnet and
beaded cape of 1876 to an
afternoon dress of the 1950s
made a fascinating introduction
to the South Slocan Hosnital
Auxiliary's third annual fashion
show.

Sadie Hammond was com-
mentator for the fashions of
+ yesteryear, The year 1939 was
recalled in'a lace evening dress
in French blue, modelled by
Lynn Dunsmore, while Olive
Muir portrayed the 1945 era in
abasic black evening dress and
Vera Johnson, the 1950s in a
brown and turquoise afternoon
dress.

Daisy Harrison featured
the 1855 party dress complete
with crinoline and pantaloons
and Betty Askew, the black
woo] beaded cape and bonnet of
1878. The final item capped this
part of the show, with Sadie
hammond’ modelling a 1906
hathing costume.
