Cominco donated a parcel of land, just past Genelle, to the trap club on May 1 and, for the past six weeks, members have been working to get the two trap layouts, capable of accom- modating five shooters each, ready for the annual shoot, - The B.C. Telephone lines which ran across the club’s new property - were put under- ground by a $5,000 donation acquired by Jack Setter of Trail, For the past 14 years, the Silver City Trap Club had met just outside of Trail on land which is now being developed into a shopping centre. Trap clubs came from as far away as Spokane, Wash., Sandpoint, Idaho; and Kimber- ly to participate in the shoot. ‘Three events were held during the day: 50 targets shot from 16 yards; the second, and biggest event was the handicap where shooters starting in class D are able to move up to class A; and the doubles event. The Silver City Trap Club claims over 70 members from the Trail-Castlegar-Nelson area and is growing.
