A reasonable kicker is alright, but a fellow who plays ball altogether with hie mouth will do a club more harm than good. There was one chap inthe Sunday’s game in the Kaslo nine, who persisted in using vile language upon the diamond, and insist- ed upon whipping the umpire upon the grounds, and even carried his bluff into the streets after the game was over. The Rossland boys outplayed the Kaslos and therefore won. There should be no reason why a baseball player might not also be a gentleman, even if his team does get beaten. ANADIAN PACIFIC FAY. This camp is aot being estab- lished on the basis of a pay rol at present. ‘The populace is en~ gaged, notonly in working the mines and conducting the busi- ness of the town, but are buying. or bonding and developing min- ing property; buying aad selling real estate; building houses for rental purposes, prospecting and staking prospectors, Many are heresimply looking on in won- derment. There are millions of muney here from all sectious of the globe; but the principal investors are from the United States, with Canada largely interested.
