Fraser and her sister, Mrs. W. P. Jones of Trail. They will be the guests of Mrs. Currie’s sister and brother- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D. Davies, for the next two weeks. Ms. H. M. McIvor has returned to her home in Woodrow, Sask., after an extended visit at the home of her daughter and son- in-law. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Acker- man. A surprise party was held in the Community Hall on Saturday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Andy McWhinnie who-are leav- ig to reside at Duncan, B.C. A presentation was made to Mr. MecWhinnie by Mr. Bill Reid of Castlegar on behalf of the Can- adian Legion. Mr. Alex Gray also presented them with a parting gift on behalf of the Kinnaird Improvement Society. The many friends present gave the couple a merry send-off. Up to that time the score remained at 1-1. Cheveldave -pitched nice ball and allowed only 3 hits in the 7 innings that he worked. He was relieved by E.-Bradley in the 7th inning. E.
