Week has just recently finish-
ed, we would like to commend
Castlegar on its hockey system.
We were only involved with it
for one year, but as we look
back, it was a very good, well
organized year.

As we were almost ‘booed’
out of an arena on Saturday ata
tournament, I remembered one
instance of this happening last

coaches very quickly squashed
it. ‘

We've been: involved in
four different hockey commu-
nities and Castlegar was the
best, so we hope. this. will
encourage everyone to keep up
the. good work.

pays to dig several holes ina
pattern several yards or metres
apart, Then if you don't find
fish in one hole, move to the
next. The fish do move around
and with. several: holes you
stand a better chance of fi finding
them. At times you can sland at
one hole ‘and pull in one fish
after another.

digging holes is a'spud, which is
like a big chisel on a long
handle. Others use an’ axe.
Some even bring power are

. equipment.

If using hand tools, tie a
rope to the handle. More than
one axe or spud has slipped
from an icy glove and gone to
the bottom of a lake.
