Most notable of the new laurels they won for their school and their home town, was the B.C. High Jump Championship won by Richard: Martini at the Provincial Inter ugh Track Meet in Kelowna Friday and Saturday. Tall and wiry “Richie” Martini’ 18 year old Grade XII student at Stanley Humphries High, was one of four local athletes who participated in the Provincial Meet, winning fifth place among a total of 21 schools, Meanwhile, the’ local high school minus the four of their top stars who were in Kelowna, also won fifth place at the West Koo- tenay and Boundary Inter High track and field meet held in Nel- son, Saturday.
