chapel of the Castlegar Funcral
Home for William Douglas
Carrle, 62, resident of 1204 - 9th
Ave, 8, Castlegar, who died
Sunday in the Castlegar and
District Hospital,

Born Nov, 4, 1913, at
Arbroath, Scotland, Mr. Carrle
came to Eastern Canada when
14 years of age. A logger by
trade, he worked throughout
Canada in both logging and
construction,

In 1950 he came to Prince
Rupert where he took up
employment with CanCel as an
Industrial First Aider,

Mr. Carrie married in
Prinee Rupert in June of 1968,
retiring from CanCel in 1974.

That same year he came to |

Castlegar.

He was an amateur photo-
grapher and worked in little
theatre while in Prince Rupert.
He was also an ardent square
dancer and member of the
Castlegar and District Senior
Citizens,

Mr, Carrie is survived by
his wife, Jean; three step-
daughters, Mrs. Zane (Joyce)
Wray of Nanaimo, Mrs, Herb

Donald Vernon Low
Pleaded not guilty in provincial
court Jan, 28 on two separate
charges. One of being in
possession of marijuana and
another for being in possession
of canibus reson.

He was found guilty on
both charges and was fined
$100 or in default two weeks in
jail on the first charge and $350
or five weeks in jail on the
second charge. If in default the
two-week sentence is to run
concurrently -with the five-
week sentence.

Ernest Healy pleaded
guilty toa charge of theft under
$200, He was fined $35 or in
default one week in jail. He was
also placed on probation for a
six-month period.

In provincial court Tues-
day Robert Morgan pleaded
guilty to a charge of driving
while impaired. He was fined
$250 or in default 30 days in jail.

For William Douglas Carrie

and Mrs, Robert (Shirley) Dick-
son of Castlegar; six grandchil-
dren and one great-grandson;
two sisters, Miss Helen Carrie
and Mrs, Mary McCallum, both
of Scotland, and a brother
Andrew, also of Scotland,
Rev, pastor R. Klein will
officiate at the service with Ray
Gardiner, Bob Pollard, Bill
Dickson, Cyril Gillis, Robert
Cromier and Cecil Fostvelt as
honorary pallbearers,
Cremation will follow.
