Enstedt said the local union decided to walk out at 12 p.m., but once they were out, they discovered the strike had been cancelled by union president Jean-Claude Parrot. Back to work legislation by the federal government came into ef- fect late Tuesday night, making it now illegal for CUPW members to a esday’s picket was prompted by a lack of movement in the ne- gotiations between the CUPW and the federal government.
