Handy Pack-Saw Without Bulk Quickly Made A small saw sometimes cone in handy around mp, but more often than not it is left at home be- cause of its bulkiness. The best idea is to take a hack- saw or meat-saw blade along with you, and make the saw on the spot. Use the longest blade you can get, preferably a * 16-inch meat-saw blade, or if you can’t obtain one of these, a 12inch, 14-point hack-saw blade will do just as well. Find a springy branch about l-inch thick and twice as long as the blade, for the handle, and cut a 1%-inch slot in each end to hold the blade. In- sert a roofing nail or cotter pin in each of the fastening holes of the blade, bend the branch arcshaped, and slip the blade in the slots cut in the en the branch. Bind the branch above the slots with cord or fish line to prevent fur- ther sp of the branch. SPECIAL . SPECIAL ......... Johnson's. 30's.
