Vows exchanged

Lori Lee  Boolinoff and Bruce Alan Pakula of
Castlegar exchanged wedding vows before Rev. Ted
Bristow Aug, 13 at the Castlegar United Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Andy
Boolinoff of 2617 6th Ave. and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Pakula of 2218 10th Ave.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a
gown of sheer crepe de'chine over taffeta with a Victorian
neckline trimmed with daisy lace.

The bodice had a bias ruffle that came toa “vin the
front and back. The bishop sleeves were complemented
with fitted cuffs.

The hat, was of a crepe de'chine. It had a large bow at
the back, belonging to the bride's aunt.

The bride's bouquet was a colonial style which
consisted of red sweetheart roses with white elegance
and greenery. Her jewelry consisted of her mother's
‘pearl earings.

Maid of honor was Yvonne McGuire of Castlegar,
friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Debbie Boolinoff,
sister of the bride; Susan Hever, friend of the bride; and
Angie Wishlow, friend of the bride, all of Castlegar.

Flower girl was Selina Mykyte of Castlegar, the
groom's niece. Ringbearer was Chad Boolinoff of Grand
Forks, cousin of the bride.

of baby’s breath in their hair. The bouquets consisted of
white daisies with blue carnations, accented with baby's
breath and greenery.

Best man was Nick Chernoff of Castlegar, a friend of
the groom. Ushers were:. Mike Pakula, brother of the
groom; and Dean Dinning, and Gerald Prive, friends of
the groom, both’ of Castlegar.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the
Fireside Place.

The banquet room was decorated with blue and
white ribbons, accented with white wedding bells and a
blue heart, bearing the couple's name.

The cake was three-layered. Pillars separated ‘the
first and second layers. The cake was decorated with blue
flowers.

A silver wine goblet with blue flowers in it stood on
top of the cake, engraved with the couple's name and date
of wedding. Bride and groom dolls stood between the
Pillars.

Master of ceremonies was Malcolm Scott of
Castlegar. Toast to the bride was given by Glen Wilson of
Castlegar, uncle of the; ede.

Halloween is a time for all

vividly portray their favorite
