‘Easter Bunny Brunch’

Appledale Park was the site this past Easter Sunday for an
Easter Bunny Brunch hosted by the Slocan Valley Recreation

Commission.

Over 50 children and an equal number of parents took part

in the free event on a beautiful warm day.
There were many activities for the children.

Things started with the children making bunny ears, east-

er-baskets and getting their faces painted like bunnies.

Next came the races, like the bunny bag hop and easter eggs

on a spoon.,

After that there was a delicious bunny snack of carrot sticks

and celery.

The children then went for a bunny hop along the bunny trail
around the park and finished off the event with an easter egg

hunt.

There was also a display of everyone's favorite bunny toy and

a few souls flew their kites around the park.

The SVRC would like to thank the many Nelson and Castle-
