STUDENT CLASSIFICATION Students admitted to the College will be classified as follows: STUDENT IN FULL STANDING A student who meets in full the entrance requirements of the Liberal Arts and Science or the Applied Arts and Science Divisions and who registers for at least 15 units of work each term, will be classified as a student in full standing. PART TIME STUDENT A student who registers for fewer than 15 units of work each term will be classified as a “part time student”. Part time students may be permitted to register for any course for which they have the required prerequisite or background. PROBATIONARY STUDENT A student who is deficient in some course credit for high school graduation may be admitted as a probationary student. Such students will be required to register for college preparatory courses in subjects in which they are deficient. COLLEGE PREPARATORY STUDENT Mature students who do not meet college entrance requirements but whose schol- astic record indicates the likelihood of success in further education may be enrolled in the Preparatory Programme and classified as College Preparatory Students. CONTINUING EDUCATION STUDENT A student who registers in the evening division for non-credit courses will be classi- fied as a Continuing Education Student. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Liberal Arts and Science (University Transfer Programme) Students will be eligible for admission to the Liberal Arts and Science (Transfer Programme) if they meet the following requirements: Graduation on the University (Academic/Technical) Programme from a British Columbia Senior Secondary School. Completion of the equivalent of British Columbia Senior Secondary School stand- ing (University Programme) in some other school system. Completion of a College Preparatory Programme prescribed by the College. College. Acceptance by special arrangement in view of candidate’s particular experience, maturity or ability. Completion of college entrance examinations considered acceptable to the College (for mature students only). 17
