was conducted jointly by
Comrades Jaimer Hall of
Trail and Vi Turner of
Sahno, zone commanders of
the Legion and its LA in the
West Kootenay.
After the ceremony we
danced to the music of
Freddie Orlando.
I ran into a lot of people I
knew from my days on the
hill and every one of them
seemed to be like me, enjoying their retired life. One
outstanding example of this
was Bob Hubbersty, a former carpenter boss. Bob was
telling me that be skis at Red
and Granite practically
every day. He made it to the
Coast recently and on the
way skied four mountains,
among them Whistler,
Blackcomb and Big White.
Fees for all four came to less
than $15. Of course, when
you are retired (Bob is 74
years young) a lot of things

come cheaper.

The Warriors have
completed their cut to bring
the team to the legal limit.:
Those who had to go were
Darren Robinson and
Darren Smith. Tony Bobbit
bas gone to the Trail Midget&
to join the other Rossland
boys on that team. Darryl
Lindgren is on loan to
Beaver Valley Nlte Bawks.
With six home games left
and two away, the schedule
would appear to favor them.
The two away games are at
Grand Forks .and SpQkao
and six different toms visit
them at home. Four of thesf
games are back-to-back on
consecutive weekends and
the last two on consecutive
Fridays in February.
Castlegar and Kimberley
come this weekend.
