Kits on Market ‘Handicraft Hobbies Enjoy Popularity There is a noticeable rise in the popularity of handicraft hobbies, witnessed by the wide variety of craft kits on the market, One explanation is that people are re-discovering the pleasure of doing things with their hands, the satisfaction of producing something that bears their individual stamp. Another yeason is that it’s easier to get going. "here is an_ increasing number of decorative and functional items offered today which are designed especially for handicrafts and sold in one location in a department store, or else in a hobby shop. So whether you want to start with a complete kit, or start from scratch, there is everything ‘ readily available to tempt the old-hand or the beginner to stretch his imagination. Gluing the bits and pieces together, for example, is generally considered one of the tedious chores associated with a craft. Rarely does one type of glue or paste work on. every surface. The same applies to paints and lacquers which are often required for the final touches necessary to transform the appearance of an otherwise humble object. This, need for specialty glue and paint products is being filled by a completely new line of aerosol “Mod Tone” sprays and plaster. Or, if you want more delicate, “see-through” colors, there are eight, trans- parent shades which are especially effective when applied to foil. There are also adhesives... Bolivia Capital . Each wing is responsible for its own decor and for weeks -now, school teachers, nurses and patients have been working on large posters to hang on both sides of ward windows, Egg cartons have no security at all as they are cut up to make wondrous mobiles that will line corridor ceilings. On the way to treatments, it's a comfort to check and make certain your plece of tinsel is still clinging on, : Later when the trees go up if you cannot reach to decorate, you can always be a wheelchair or stretcher superintendent and ask for your favorite angel to be on the side nearest your room, In the kitchen trays have been planned ahead with holiday favors which can be worn or eaten, You see some kids go home and others don't, soit's great to celebrate a week or so before and right up to the day.
