The stock market has been, lively all week, with no decided {changes other than that Iron Mask raised 7 points this afternoon on account of the decision in its favor in its case against the’ Centre’ Star. tt War Eagle ia quoted at $3.02, Jumbo is down to 46c, Iron Colt is strong ‘at 10c. The reports of Wednesday and 48 Thursday, given below, represents fairly other stocks today. ‘Wednesday. - i The stock market ia better this week than was expected by local brekers on account of the near approach of holi- days. Monday one firm alone sold 80,000 shares of atock, the majority of which were cheap Republic shares.. The byy- ing public seems to be of # speculative mood and sre buying where the pros- pects of a quick raise seem best. . Deer Park and Novelty are so far the best sellers uf the local stocks, with the former. atan advance of a Lalf cent, making the price 20!¢, while the latter maintains a steady firm price at 4° cents. «Jambo bas declined and, the. best of- fera are 48 cents, although holders are not anxiousto let go at that. figure. Those holding Monte Christo want 11 to 1134 centa while the buyers are only - offering 10}. The difference between buyer and seller ia sufficient to make the market in these shares dull. -° 7 Yesterday was the day the five cents a ~ . | share assessment was due and payableon Virginia stock, which caused some hold- ° ers to offer it as fow as 85 centa a share. It is strong today at 45 and 46 cents. Iron Horse is on the raise and is quoted at 18 cents. Thia is caused by ; thatthe machinery day in favor ofthe Iron Mask on the four injunction counts. This iss most decisive victory for the be made. y The Maseot. ‘will drills had d' op- ding that the Iron.Colt + The electric plant and thinery for ‘thia property arrived during the week, and is being installed as rapidly as rap- idly as possible. | Work goes steadily on Iron Mask company, and it seems highly probable willend the long drawn out litigation. The crosscut tv the north of the shaft is still being pushed for the purpose of exploring that region. At the 200 foot levzl good results are beimg obtained and the deyelopment will be continued at that point.. The shaft has been tim- bered now throughout and this property ‘lis one of the most perfect and systemat- ically developed mines of the camp. Commander. There is nothing particularly new to report of this mine, Sinking continues in the main shaft, which is now down below the 300 foot level. The ore from this property so much resembles the Le Boi-ore as to be frequently mistaken for the oreofthat mine, Sinking in the shaft will proceed to the 600 foot level.
