such, all Grade 10 students are
exposed to this program.

Career Education is di-
vided into two major areas —

Job, Search and Job Explora- .

tion,. Last week -we discussed
Job:Search and how this topic
was offered to the students.

+ Job Exploration is ‘con-
cerned with why people work,
what a person should know
about himself/herself in rela-
tion to interests. and abilities,
and what different types of jobs
exist. Students learn about the
status of the labor market
locally and elsewhere in B.C.,
and what the various training
opportunities are and where
they are located in Canada,

Employment Centre visits each
class twice’ during the Job
Exploration section to talk with

suggests that if students wish
to he in control of their lives in
terms of employment and finan-
cial standing, the students must
obtain some further education
